Benefits of habit “Employ the hero tactic”

✓ Helps fight self-doubt
✓ Boosts self-esteem
✓ Improves mood
✓ Helps prepare for difficulties

First step:

Visualize a hero before intimidating situation

Progress:

1. Before any intimidating situation, visualize a hero in the same industry or field and think about how they would act in your situation. Then imagine you would do exactly the same things your hero would do. Do so for 5 to 10 minutes before the intimidating situation.
2. Make sure to do so every time you feel difficulties are coming along and you have time to prepare for them.
3. For more spontaneous cases, just think what your hero would do and do it without the visualization.

Helpful tips to make it a habit:

✓ Trigger your mind. Wear a bracelet or have a very special stress ball that would help your mind remember what to do instead of thinking dreadful scenarios.
✓ Let the app help. Make notes in the app’s calendar of every day you used the hero tactic and see how many times you had to do so.
✓ Reward yourself. Once you feel you gained more confidence and developed this tactic enough, reward yourself by purchasing a bottle of a very good drink and raising a toast to your bravery and self-esteem. Who says you cannot move mountains?
✓ Celebrate small victories. Every time you perform this habit, congratulate yourself! Say “I’m awesome” or “I’m so cool” out loud and with a smile on your face.

Tips for beginners:

✓ How to visualize. Think of a hero in your industry or career. Then ask yourself what this person would do in your situation. How would they handle it? Would they be intimidated? Fearful? Or calm and collected? Now imagine yourself doing exactly what you think your hero would do. And do it.
✓ When to use the tactic. When you have in front of you a challenging situation, an intimidating project, a new career leap, or an important meeting or are generally scared to do something.
✓ Become your own hero. Spending some time visualizing what your hero would do will inevitably bring you closer to being the hero you always needed in your life. After all, the strength to do anything is always within you.
