✓ Think realistically. When looking who to assign accountability against, make sure when you say your plans that they are realistic. For example, if you say you will have a portion of the task done by the end of the week, make sure before you say it that it can be done.
✓ What it means “no accountability”. If you get a task sounding like “Compile this document for client X”, but no one will check it save you, client is not informed that they will receive it and no one from your team knows except from the task issuer, that means in this case, you have no accountability in front of anyone but yourself. To motivate yourself to do this task faster, the best idea is to transfer that accountability away from yourself and to the client or your team.
