Benefits of habit “Decide your 3 MITs”

✓ Reduces stress
✓ Increases productivity
✓ Helps to be more organized
✓ Allows for more free time

First step:

Set 1 MITs per day

Progress:

1. Set 1 MIT per day. Do this once this week
2. Next week, Set 2 MITs per day
3. Next week, Set 3 MITs per day

Helpful tips to make it a habit:

✓ Same time is key. Always do your short planning sessions at the same time. We recommend evenings before going to sleep, but first thing in the morning is a good idea as well. Habit develops when there is routine.
✓ Trigger your mind. If you need, take a notebook and write down every day the 3 MITs. Keep the notebook in a visible location so your brain wouldn’t have an excuse to miss it.
✓ Let the app help. Reminder function can serve you well in alerting you it’s time for a planning session. Also you can track your progress with days you successfully planned and not in the app’s calendar.
✓ Reward yourself. Once you’ve gone a full week with 3 MITs planned every day, enjoy the freed-up time you have by trying out a new activity you haven’t made time for before.

Tips for beginners:

✓ Clear tasks. The way you formulate your tasks should be clear to you and achievable. A phone call, a documents, an email – even if it’s a MIT:s for all day, it should be formulated clearly.
✓ Most important. You must accurately determine what is important to do and what is not. Maybe some tasks have a specific deadline or other tasks will be harder to do if one is not completed before. Audit your tasks and determine, which are more important.
